SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL X: THE BIGGEST & THE BEST
Regal Films celebrate the Holiday Season with the annual scream fest via Shake, Rattle and Roll, now on its 10th year!
“It has been our tradition to showcase the best of the local horror films so as to give the audiences value for money during the Christmas Season through “SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL X,” said Roselle Monteverde-Teo, Regal’s Executive Producer.
Two episodes will be directed by Mike Tuviera and one episode by Topel Lee: both of whom have directed full length horror films which have been graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board such as ‘TXT’ and ‘OUIJA’ respectively.

“This is our biggest ‘SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL’ so far, not only because of the grand cast but also because of the sophisticated storytelling and effects – befitting of a 10th anniversary offering no less,” said Mother Lily Monteverde, the Regal matriarch who is obviously excited and very hopeful on SRRX’s prospects.
Very good, young, dynamic directors, a formidable cast composed of the best of the Kapuso and Kapamilya networks, the best technical and creative staff and a rich history and franchise…what more can you ask for? These make SRRX the Metro Manila Film Festival entry to watch out for.

SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL 10 SYNOPSIS
Ten signifies the extremes! Shake, Rattle and Roll 10 vows to deliver extreme blood curdling screams on the silverscreen this December! With its three terrifying new stories (Emergency, Class Picture and Nieves) masterfully crafted by ace directors: Michael Tuviera and Toppel Lee, Shake 10 shall transcend your fears to absolute terror!
Mustering an A-list cast from two giant networks, SRR 10 brilliantly features: Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, JC De Vera, Roxanne Guinoo, Mylene Dizon, Wendell Ramos, Janus Del Prado, John Lapus, Jennica Garcia, IC Mendoza, BJ Forbes, Iwa Moto, Erich Gonzales and many more.
Director Michael Tuviera and writer Ellen Estrada shall immerse us in a hot bloodbath with the first episode entitled – EMERGENCY. When an obscure hospital becomes the target of wrathful blood hungry creatures (Mylene Dizon and Wendell Ramos), Jay (JC De Vera) the paramedic and his beloved Dr. Sarah (Roxanne Guinoo) must struggle together with other hospital residents to save their precious lives.
Helmed by Director Toppel Lee and penned by Cheryl Narvasa, the second Episode – CLASS PICTURE shows us a mind blowing image of death. Ten college students spend the weekend at their school to prepare an exhibit in exchange for lifting the suspension of their organization. But instead of getting busied with paper maches, and presentation, they find themselves haunted by the awakened spirit of a demented nun, Sr. Maria Belonia (Jean Garcia), who has put a curse on a class picture of her section in 1898.
NIEVES blends comedy, suspense and fantasy in one iconic episode, Director Michael Tuviera and writer Penny Tuviera team up for SRR 10’s last episode. Nieves – is the town’s famous and lone Engkanto Slayer. When strange and unexplainable attacks began to strike the whole town, Nieves, teams up with her slayer in trainings: Junie (BJ Forbes) and Kaysee (Jennica Garcia) to save the townsfolk from extinction.
This year's SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL 10 will surely be an exception for this year’s 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival, taking everyone to the extremes with the freshest batch of horrific stories, an ensemble of today's biggest and brightest stars and eyepopping Hollywood standard visual effects.

Synopsis 1
One December night, a pregnant woman was accidentally hit by an ambulance. She was rushed to the hospital, unfortunately, she lost her baby…
That night, one by one, patients and medical staff dies.
The woman, it turns out, is no ordinary human being – but a creature of the night, an aswang in Philippine mythology. She, together with her husband and the rest of their breed, seek vengeance for their loss.
The hospital and everyone in it falls prey to the aswang’s wrath.

As the wind wails like a dying animal and the full moon looms high in the starless night skies… a pregnant woman was accidentally hit by an ambulance. She was rushed to the hospital, unfortunately, she had a miscarriage.
As she mourns for the death of her unborn child, one by one, patients and medical staff in the hospital mysteriously disappears.
The woman, it turns out, is no ordinary human being but a creature of the night. Together with her husband and the rest of their breed, they seek vengeance for their loss.
The hospital and everyone in it falls prey to their wrath.
Synopsis 3
A pregnant woman was accidentally hit by the ambulance and was rushed to the hospital. She lost consciousness and thereafter loss her baby. As the woman regains consciousness, a series of mysterious events start to happen inside the hospital. The woman, it turns out, is no ordinary human being – but an aswang! She and her breed wreak havoc in the hospital as they seek vengeance for their loss. The hospital and everyone in it fall prey to the aswang’s wrath!

“The Class Picture”

Synopsis
Ten college students spend the weekend at their school to prepare an exhibit in exchange for lifting the suspension of their organization. But instead of getting busied with paper maches, and presentation, they find themselves haunted by the awakened spirit of a demented nun, later known as Sr. Maria Belonia, who has put a curse on a class picture of her section in 1898.
It is Joy (heroine) who discovers this picture at a decrepit room (formerly office of Sr. Belonia), thereby starting the series of ghostly apparitions of three high school girls murdered by Sr. Belonia, the voices in Spanish, and the nun’s creepy chuckling, grinning, glaring and blood-streaking sighting on the picture. The photo is black white, creased and odd-looking. Off-center is a nun (Belonia) flanked by five female students in white gala uniform to her right and only two to her left. To balance the picture, Belonia must kill three students who has looked into her eyes in the photo and put their souls in the vacant spot on her uneven side. With this, she’ll be able to fulfill her promise made to Mother Superior more than a hundred years ago that her class can be complete and therefore she need not be disgraced from the school. But with the horrible transformation taking place in the school , most especially represented by the famous AGMIRU hallway from the present to 1898, indicates Belonia is not just fulfilling a promise but is actually desiring to be alive again. In the final scenes where Joy gets almost killed by Belonia, two of her orgmates, Lui (her ex-boyfriend) and Greg witness the nun slowly coming to life from spirit to flesh. Lui attempts to stop Belonia by trying to destroy the class picture but couldn’t as the photo can’t be ripped at all. It is only when Joy started to embrace her psychic ability that Belonia finds her equal foe. Near death, Joy summons the three ghosts of the 1898 girls whom Belonia killed, to save her. The girls (Crisel, Sabel and Adela) finally appear to face Belonia and they themselves destroy the class picture. With that, Belonia and the three ghosts vanish to the afterlife to rest in peace. Joy and the remaining teens are safe. However, their group isn’t spared from another suspension as they’re hold responsible for the unexplainable disappearance of their other friends (killed in the haunting). None of the surviving teens are able to explain to the parents and Principal what really happened. Story ends with the opening of the exhibit and one of two student-visitors seeing the ghosts of the dead teens. Voices come about in the air that this time, it is they who want to come back to life.
