SHARON CUNETA SUPPORTS HER FRIENDS JUDAY & OGIE IN “OMG!”
The megastar Sharon Cuneta sets foot on Regal grounds for the first time via a cameo guesting in “OMG – Oh My Girl” because of her love and deep friendship with young superstar Judy Ann Santos and multi-talented comedian Ogie Alcasid.
“We are so happy that Ate Sharon said yes to guesting in OMG. This is a fun movie and we made sure she would have such a good and comfortable time during our shoot,”said Juday.
The shoot was held at Ogie’s hometown Taal, Batangas --- and he, along with Regal matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde made sure everyone is well attended to. “We would want them to experience the Batangueno hospitality,” said Ogie.
Mother Lily Monteverde, for her part, has been very hands on in the movie’s preparation, even choosing this movie of Juday and Ogie as the film that will kick off Regal’s anniversary offerings. “This movie is a dream come true for me --- imagine, combining the best talents of the two giant networks who are friends in real life --- Ogie and Judy Ann ---plus the Megastar whom I’ve always dreamed of working with ---I’ just so blessed. As this is a film on love and friendship, I hope that the audience can easily relate to and experience the fun, friendship and love on and off camera here in OMG!,” said Mother Lily.
“This is the least I can do for my friends Juday & Ogie and Mother Lily who have all been good to me in my years in showbusiness. Like what the movie conveys, real love and friendship prevail --- and despite what everyone says about fleeting relationships and tainted power relationships in this industry, my dealings with Juday and Ogie and Mother Lily transcends everything ---and will be here forever,” says Sharon.
OMG will hit the big screen on July 29. Aside from Judy Ann and Ogie, it boasts of an excellent cast led by Roderick Paulate, Carmi Martin, John Prats, John Avila, Nova Villa and a lot of special cameo guestings like that of Regine Velasquez and Sharon Cuneta, under the direction of Dante Nico Garcia under Regal Films. |
