Mega-star-studded party scene for Mano Po 6
If there’s one word to describe the party scene shot recently at Fernbrook for “Mano Po 6: My Mother’s Love,” it would be “mega-star-studded.” Headed by the movie’s lead star megastar Sharon Cuneta, the shoot gathered some of the brightest stars in local showbiz like divine diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista, Ryan Eigenmann, Nicole Uysiuseng, Ciara Sotto and Queen of Talk Kris Aquino.
“It’s so heartwarming that I see everyone here today,” excitedly said Sharon. “The preparation for this scene is very tedious but it came out very nice. We’re all looking forward to this movie.”
According to some insiders, the said party scene had a budget of more than P2 million, which was evident in the lavish set-up, costumes and production design of the venue. Producer Roselle Monteverde-Teo invited 500 Chinese guests to participate in the party. She sought the help of her bestfriend Irene Tan, the daughter of business tycoon Lucio Tan.
“This is really the most expensive ‘Mano Po’ with a P70 million budget,” shared Mother Lily. “But, I am sure, this is also the best. I am very proud of this movie.”
With Joel Lamangan as director, “Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love” discusses the immense love of a mother for her children.
“Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love,” official entry of Regal Films to the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival, opens on December 25. |
