“Loving You” celebrates many firsts

Fall in love like it’s your first time as STUDIOMAX presents the most beautiful and most romantic pairs of Philippine show biz in one great movie filled with passion, tenderness and all the delightful things that make you gush and feel tingly all over! JC de Vera & Yasmien Kurdi, Polo Ravales & Jean Garcia, John Prats & Ehra Madrigal, and Aljur Abrenica & Kris Bernal star in STUDIOMAX’s very first romance movie- “Loving You.”

STUDIOMAX certainly knows that when it comes to love no one ever forgets “the first.” As such, the country’s newest film production outfit unveils loads of “firsts” in “Loving You.”

First-time pairings! This marks the first time that Polo & Jean, John & Ehra play lovers in a movie. It is also the film debut of GMA Network’s Starstruck love team Aljur and Kris.  And, after the success of the soap operas “Babangon Ako at Dudurugin Kita,” “Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig,” and “Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso,” JC and Yasmien are finally paired in a movie – elevating the JC-Yasmien love team to a new level and thrilling their fans even more.

Debut of a Kapamilya director!  To make its debut movie more highly anticipating, STUDIOMAX brilliantly combines exclusive talents of rival networks GMA and ABS-CBN in one movie to form a very fresh and exciting ensemble. For “Loving You,” STUDIOMAX enlisted ABS-CBN’s Don Cuaresma (who helmed “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay,” “It Might Be You,” “Ysabela,” and “Esperanza,” among many other top-rating TV shows) to direct a cast of mostly GMA artists. “So this is my first time to direct a film and to work with GMA stars,” Don remarks. “Punung-puno ng love ang aming set at enjoy na enjoy ang lahat!” he reveals.

Fresh characters! Fans will be delighted to see their screen idols giving life to characters they’ve never played before, whether on TV or in the movies. Polo is a call center trainor caught between his boyish inclinations and a mature love affair. Jean is an advertising creative director who desperately wants to settle down and have a baby. Aljur is a rocker who falls for the charms of tomboyish Kris. Ehra is an aspiring model by day and a struggling call center agent by night, with John as a cute taxi driver with a secret crush on her. JC and Yasmien play ex-sweethearts-turned-best friends who still have feelings for each other and their unexpressed desires are further suppressed when their respective love lives get more complicated.

Classic theme song with a contemporary vibe! “Loving You” is written by Fairlane Raymundo. The movie theme song is a revival of the Ric Segreto classic as popularized by Nina and is now given a more acoustic and romantic twist rendition in the movie. “Loving You” is the must-see romantic flick which will be shown on August 20 in theatres nationwide.
