BEWARE THE WRATH OF REGAL’S
“WHITE LADY”!
An athletic jock is crippled in a freak accident. An aspiring artist is disfigured when shards of glass pierce her body. A class clown is attacked by an army of rats. Such are some of the violent, horrifying fates that befall a clutch of college students in “White Lady”, Regal Entertainment’s heart-pounding tale of revenge and retribution. Written by Don Michael Perez and Joel Nuñez, “White Lady” also marks the feature film debut of director Jeff Tan, whose use of vibrant color and striking visuals in his music videos impressed Regal’s Roselle Monteverde-Teo, clinching Tan this exciting assignment.
Playing the endangered students in “White Lady” are some of the most talented and photogenic young stars we have today: PAULEEN LUNA, JC DE VERA, KETCHUP EUSEBIO, IWA MOTO, GLAIZA DE CASTRO, KATARINA PEREZ, JASON ABALOS and FRANZEN FAJARDO.
In the challenging title role is the lovely ANGELICA PANGANIBAN, while the distinguished BOOTS ANSON-ROA plays her anguished grandmother.
Inspired by the famous urban legend about the ghost that haunts Balete Drive, “White Lady” has been reinvented by the Regal presentation and relocated to a liberal arts school in Los Baños. There, the school’s most popular students meet horrific fates one by one, realizing too late that they are the target of a vengeful ghost.
To ensure that the White Lady will haunt the dreams of moviegoers long after they’ve left the theaters, Regal has hired Visual Illusion Quest (VIQ) to do the frightening prosthetic makeup. Visual FX house Ignite Media, fresh from their award-winning work on “Exodus” at the 2005 MMFF, has been tapped to do the blood-curdling visual effects.
“White Lady” is the latest in a string of horror flicks produced by the Monteverde family, the most recent of which was the crowd-pleasing Pamahiin. “White Lady” is executive produced by Lily Y. Monteverde and produced by Roselle Monteverde-Teo. Manny Valera is Supervising Producer. Shot using state of the art, high definition cameras, “White Lady” will terrify cinemagoers at selected theaters nationwide very soon. ###
